Dr. Nathan Becker
Nathan Becker earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Central Florida in 2019. He has worked in outpatient orthopedics, home health, and rehabilitation facilities, treating everyone from college athletes to 100 year old retirees. He is a LEAD Dementia Rehabilitation Specialist, with advanced training in helping people living with dementia stay active, safe, and independent.
Today Dr. Becker sees patients in his Orlando clinic, in their homes, and in assisted living communities across the area. Every visit is one on one with him for the full session, with no aides and no rushed appointments. His goal is simple: use the power of movement to decrease pain, improve function, and help people keep doing what they love.
Dr. Becker’s introduction to physical therapy was nearly two decades ago when visiting his grandmother in Ohio following her hip replacement surgery. His grandmother was, putting it nicely, skeptical of most medical professionals within the hospital system — however, she adored her physical therapist. It was evident that a trusting relationship had been developed in a short amount of time, and this left a lasting impression on a younger Nathan. Fast forward ten years later, while exploring different options in preparation to make a jump from the hospitality industry to healthcare, he came across physical therapy as a potential choice and the experiences from long ago resurfaced, leading Nathan down the path to becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Nathan grew up in the Orlando area and is proud to continue living in the City Beautiful, where he raises his two kids. He leads an active lifestyle participating in physical fitness, playing golf, and sharing with his kids the things he grew up doing in Florida — including trail cycling, surfing, and fishing.
